US KIDS GOLF WORLD GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP PINEHURST RESORT ~ LONGLEAF GOLF CLUB AUGUST 2-4, 2012
Big congratulations to Amari for winning the Girls 8 Division
in this year's US Kids World Golf Championships in Pinehurst, North Carolina where Amari played the Longleaf course.
If you remember last year, Amari came in 3rd place. However, this year, history did NOT repeat itself. In an amazing
Round 1, Amari scored consecutive birdies to claim an early 1-stroke lead with a final score of minus 2 under par, 34.
According to US Kids, her birdies were the most in her age division. Round 2 also proved to be an amazing day where
the Tigress scored another minus 2 under par 34 to build a 6-stroke lead over her competition. And like all great
golfers, hurdles do come up and in Round 3, that was apparent. Amari struggled with the first two holes but made
things right with a birdie on hole 7 to end the day with the winning score of 109, 1 over par for the win. Special
thanks to Josh & Rafi for your support of the Tigress through the 3 days of this tournament. And of course, as always,
a huge thank you goes to Amari's Caddie Daddy, Andre for helping to keep the Tigress focused. Congrats again to Amari,
keep it up TIGRESS !!!
CALLAWAY JUNIOR WORLD GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP SYCUAN RESORT ~ PINE GLEN GOLF COURSE JULY 10-12, 2012
Great job to Amari for placing 6th in the Girls 7-8 Division in
the 2012 Callaway Junior World Championships. Once again, Amari played at the Pine Glen course of Sycuan Resort in San Diego,
California. The weather was very balmy, hot and somewhat humid. With a final score of 195, Amari shot a 63-67-65 for the 3
days. The Tigress competed with 51 girls from around the world and even though she missed the cut-off for a trophy, overall,
she still did very well considering this was her first major tourney in over a year. Way to go TIGRESS!!!
